What is the NSDA?
The National Speech & Debate Association is the national governing body for Speech & Debate. This organization shapes competitive rules, regulations, and tournament procedures that are emulated throughout the country. The organization also provides an Honor Society for students and professional development for coaches. Member schools also have access to thousands of curricular resources!
The NSDA divides itself into regions called "Districts" and each is governed by a District Committee elected by the member schools of the district. Each district hosts an annual "NSDA District Tournament" which serves as the qualifying tournament to the prestigious NSDA National Tournament.
Schools geographically in the eastern half of Missouri are assigned to the Eastern Missouri NSDA District.
