RESOURCES FOR NSDA-AFFILIATED SCHOOLS

Schools affiliated with the NSDA have access to thousands of resources from the National organization, which can be found HERE.

Eastern Missouri also offers a number of "in house" resources to our schools, which can be found below.

  • Some of these resources also found on the NSDA's national webpage; we're providing them here for easy retrieval.
  • The stuff found on this page is SPECIFIC to NSDA membership.  If you're looking for something more generic, GO HERE!

NSDA Manuals

The NSDA issues the annual "High School Manual."  It contains four sections:
  1. Chapter and Honor Society Management.
  2. NSDA Event Rules (which may differ from MSHSAA Event Rules)
  3. NSDA District Tournament Operations Manual (used by the District Committee)
  4. NSDA National Tournament Operations Manual (used by the National Committee)
The full manual is a very large file.  We've also provided the sections independently -- the slightly smaller files are a little easier to work with and find what you need!

Point Recording Guides

The NSDA provides a point recording guide, but many coaches in Eastern Missouri have found our local guides to be a bit more user friendly.  There are also Google Spreadsheet templates you can use to keep track of your student scores during tournaments!

We are recreating our point recording guide in 2022 to reflect recent changes to the NSDA's system!

Need help with your NSDA roster?  Whether it's adding students, editing points, paying invoices, linking student members, or anything else to do with school o individual membership, the NSDA's got an interactive page on it's website to help you!

EASTMO NSDA POLICIES & BY-LAWS

While much of what we do is simply follow the rules and procedures established by the National Speech and Debate Association, we are empowered by the NSDA to create local "methods" of rule compliance.  And, for anything "non-NSDA" that we do, we ensure that we have a specific modus operandi.
