What is MSHSAA?
The Missouri State High School Activities Association provides state-level regulations, guidelines, and expectations for Speech, Debate, and Theatre Competitions. The organization is divided into DISTRICTS, with all high schools and middle schools grouped based on their geographic location.
Each Spring, a "MSHSAA District Tournament" is held to determine which students qualify to the MSHSAA Speech, Debate, and Theatre State Championship, held each April!
If your school is in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, or Jefferson City High School, you are in MSHSAA District #4! The MSHSAA pages on this website will pertain to you!
If you are NOT in those geographic areas, you are in a different MSHSAA District. See the current MSHSAA manual for your point of contact.
