2019 NSDA Nationals - Information for Coaches

Congratulations to the 13 schools who have qualified students to the 2019 NSDA Nationals Tournament!
This year's National Tournament will be held June 15 - 22, 2019 in Dallas, Texas!

For more than two decades, schools that qualify to Nationals from the Eastern Missouri NSDA District have held a tradition where they cease to operate as different schools and, instead, work together as ONE TEAM.  This gives students opportunities to practice with each other and work with different coaches from around our region, coaches the opportunity to collaborate and work together to guide students, and parents the peace of mind knowing that their child is always with a trusted adult throughout the week!

COACHES -- THE BUTTONS BELOW WILL BECOME ACTIVE AT DIFFERENT TIMES BETWEEN MID-MARCH AND DEPARTURE FOR NATIONALS!  It is organized chronologically!
Two coaches volunteer as your "points of contact" during Nationals Preparation:
  • Justin Seiwell, District Chair, will guide you through registration and necessary travel documentation.
  • ​Randy Pierce, District Treasurer, will handle all things related to our hotel and invoicing.

INFORMATION RELEASED MARCH 15  ("PRE-REGISTRATION PART 1")

A quick list of instructions provided to schools immediately upon having a student qualify to Nationals.
Constant up-to-date list of students attending Nationals.  Organized by last name, school, event, and gender identifier.
Used by the district chair to determine which school will be tapped in the event that a current qualifier has to vacate their qualification.  Note that this is not considered official -- the NSDA maintains the official list!

INFORMATION RELEASED APRIL 1  ("PRE-REGISTRATION PART 2")

A comprehensive guide to the entire week of Nationals.  Produced by the District Committee each year.
A quick introduction to the options qualifiers will have to enter Supplemental & Consolation events at the National tournament.
All coaches are expected to turn in one of these forms for each of their qualifiers by May 21!
If you'd like to learn more about the hotel our team will be using for the week of Nationals!

TOURNAMENT ONLINE REGISTRATION (APRIL 1 - MAY 1)

The NSDA will conduct all tournament registration through Tabroom.com.  Contact Justin Seiwell will questions!

INFORMATION RELEASED MAY 1 ("EAST MO TEAM BUILDING")

To completed after you finish Nationals Registration -- this document helps the District Chair complete the "district level" resources that we use for logistics and communication.  Need help?  View the WALKTHROUGH video!
BEGINS AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE MSHSAA STATE TOURNAMENT!
Upon the completion of the MSHSAA State Tournament, EastMO schools are permitted to start practicing with each other.
Topics for LD, PF, and WSD will be released May 1st!
Topic areas for IX, USX, and EC will be released May 1st!
The "genre" for Storytelling will be released May 1st!
Congress Legislation will be released May 10th!

A comprehensive list of apps - some from the NSDA, some from EastMO - that will be used during the National Tournament.
