DISTRICT TOURNAMENT PORTAL - FORM SUBMISSION

DUO INTERP SCRIPTS

All students who are entered in DUO INTERPRETATION should submit "packets" that contain a signed submission checklist, typed manuscript, and highlighted script/approved copy.

DEADLINE:  March 10, 2020
THE UPLOAD FORM IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO

IMPORTANT NOTE:  A student is permitted to compete regardless of whether or not they have a packet on file.  However, based on rules found in the DTOM, if the coach is NOT able to produce these document within 20 minutes of request, the student is automatically disqualified in the event of protest OR in the event of qualifying to finals.  Coaches are encouraged to turn these in online in advance of the tournament so they don't have to worry about it!
ORAL INTERP SUBMISSION CHECKLIST
Use one of these sheets for each DUO INTERP entry (one per partnership).
If you'd prefer, you can use the one provided by Joy of Tournaments.
The bibliography page generated by Joy of Tournaments does NOT need to be turned in so long as the source material complies with NSDA publishing rules.
UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:
Students should turn in to their coach a:
  • Signed submission checklist
  • Typed, word-for-word manuscript (including intro)
  • Highlighted original script or authorized copy* (must be a color scan)
  • The original source
The coach should then:
  • Scan or save the files as .pdf, .doc, or .docx formats.
A .jpeg is fine for the submission checklist.
  • Upload each part of the "packet" below.
  • Bring the original source to the tournament.
The coach will receive a confirmation of receipt within about 24 hours.
If you have multiple entries in the event, you will need to refresh the page and complete the form for each entry separately.
PHYSICAL TURN IN:
If you would prefer to turn in these items physically, please bind each student's packet together (staple), clearly label them, put them in a folder or large envelope with your school name, and turn them in to Sandy Welty at on-site registration.

THESE FORMS ARE NOT AUDITED BY THE DISTRICT COMMITTEE.  THEY ARE ONLY REVIEWED IF THE STUDENT IS PROTESTED OR ADVANCES TO FINALS.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR SCAN IS IN COLOR AND THAT HIGHLIGHTS, PRINTED WORDS, AND MARKED CHANGES ARE EASILY LEGIBLE!
If the District Committee is unable to read any of the scanned material upon review, the student may be disqualified.

IT IS A COACH'S AFFIRMATIVE DUTY TO ENSURE THEIR STUDENTS COMPLY WITH ALL RULES.
