EASTMO NSDA AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS

Each year, the Eastern Missouri NSDA District honors several community members - students, coaches, administrators, alumni, and volunteers - for their contributions to our community and in society.

All awards are presented at the annual Eastern Missouri NSDA Awards Ceremony which occurs at the conclusion of the 
NSDA District Tournament.

Student Awards & Recognitions

In addition to competitive awards received at the District & National Tournaments, each year EastMO bestows two honors on our students:
  • The Eastern Missouri NSDA District Student of the Year
  • The Mary D. Ross Founders Scholarship

Community Recognitions

Each year, EastMO NSDA recognizes certain individuals for excellence in service to speech & debate OR for excellence in public service using their communication skills.  Our annual Community Recognitions are:​
  • The EastMO NSDA Communicator of the Year
  • The EastMO NSDA Volunteer of the Year
  • The EastMO NSDA Alumni Achievement Award
  • The EastMO NSDA Administrator of the Year
Nominations are open all year long!

Coach Recognitions

Coaches give selflessly to their students each and everyday.  EastMO stops for just a few minutes each year to recognize those coaches who have had a substantive positive impact on both their students and the EastMO Community as a whole.  Coaching Recognitions are:​
  • The EastMO NSDA Coach of the Year
  • The EastMO NSDA Assistant Coach of the Year
  • The EastMO NSDA New Coach of the Year​
